Merry Christmas!!!!!
I saw 'I Am Legend' just a bit ago. Put that one under the "suspense" category! Very enjoyable.
I thought (insert appropriate joke here): when was the last time i gave something. When was the last time i gave something without ever expecting something back, or even expect the person i gave the something to, to even like what i gave them. When was the last time i gave something that everyone wants and needs, and a majority of the recipients hated my guts. Sound familiar? How about if they hated my guts so much that they murdered me (even after the option of killing a (more) guilty man). And i wasn't even forcing my gift on them, I simply gave them a choice to accept a free gift. Now does it sound familiar?
Ya, that was my hourly cheesiness, but maybe it will sound cool to someone.

YIPEEEE!!!!!
It was that much sweeter to get out of school at 11:20 because there was no more work! So i got home and looked for a CD i've wanted to put on my mp3 player for a while and that led me to my current task: copying approx. 20 or so (of my parent's old) CDs that i think i may like/have liked. Thus far, Christmas break is most excellent!
I need to start Christmas shopping = O
It hit me really hard today: while watching commercials no less; why is it improper to hint at Christ's name, but expected to repeat his actions (of giving).
I think i mentioned earlier that i'd put some pix up from this weekend.
my lil' sister's end-of-the-year violin concert. (this pic is the high school group that played after her)

update
oh ya. So about a month ago i 'misplaced' the single piece that's needed to connect my tune machine to.....anything. I finally ordered another one the other day, and am now 'back to normal'. But i was pleasantly surprised that i'm not addicted to my tunes like i thought i was. I think i even listen to the radio more than anything now.

The results of No-Shave November!
Yes, i participated in no-shave November. I'm not really partial to the way whiskers look on myself, so i won't continue with it.
I'm tired but not sleepy. I guess that comes later. it's weird to not have a major project due tomorrow.
....
I remember i was trying to remember something but i forgot.

Something Worwhile
So, here it is:
First; the news. Thanksgiving was very relaxfull. Friday was the day we (my family +1) took the Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes up to the Charlotte distribution facility. We had about forty-five boxes i think and helped process about 30,000+ (i'm guesstimating, ya'll can help me out with the number).
I don't think I've said how the basketball game went on Monday. It was not only my first time doing the scoreboard, but it was also my first time to know what all the basketball rules are. On the upside, it can only get better from here.
I'm thinking radio would be fun next year.....at least that's my thought this second.
Psst!: do you like my attempt at Christmas colors?

Did you know that Blogger counts saved posts? So this is the real 100th post.
Just wanted to clear up the confusion for all ya'll, because i know everyone was up late counting
posts.
NO SCHOOL TOMORROW!!!!!!!!! = D (some teacher work-day.....i'm not wondering about the details)
First yearbook deadline Wednesday. I was actually ready for this one ahead of time, until i volunteered for/was drafted for another 2 pages. Oh well. It is fun, and i guess nothing would ever get done without a deadline.
Facts Of The Day: -It has been one year today since Saddam Hussein was sentenced to death.
(according to Wikipedia, i don't keep up as much as i wish with polotics)
- Fifty (50) days until Christmas

Big 100
I've noticed how there is no cruise control for life. In just one day i went from chillin' to scrambling to relief. I think life is a very stop and go kinda deal.
Not much new, i went to visit Tusculum college in Greeneville Tennessee on Friday. It's defiantly one I will consider. But that's about it.
Oh! I rarely ever watch SNL, but i had to when i heard Brian Williams was hosting it! Everything i saw before i fell asleep was great! So......if you missed it.....it was good.

they call it "futbol" everywhere else
It was almost surreal-like to play my last home game on the 23rd. I've looked at, run/walked on, sat by, laughed on, had water fights on, and played many a soccer game on that field behind our school. And now i never get to play on it again with the school team =' (
haha, ok i really not crying, just realizing that i'm growing up.
So that's life, trying to finish up some college applications before deadlines run up and punt everyone's expectations out of view of the mind's eye. In other words not much time till applications are due.
Here's a quick vid from the state fair someone else may enjoy.

It's getting dark before the moon's up!

Yes, fall is finally falling after fidgeting in a foul fetish of fury to forget to figure.
(and the abridged version: it's starting to get colder)
I love summer because you get out of school and you can wear your swimsuit all day if you want, or spend all day at the beach or sleep in or make some $$$, or go somewhere
I love fall because you can step on crunchy leaves and jump in crunchy leaves and wear sweaters all day long and play sports (because it's not too cold or too hot (just right) and nature is giving it one last heave-ho before winter and Christmas is closer!!
I think i've found the rule for listening to Christmas music: once it's cold enough to wear a sweater, you can listen.
Today didn't look like it was going to smile at me, but i'm glad i smiled at it. (even though it was hard and i didn't really want to)

something new
Then there was today. After school was the sweetest soccer game i have ever played. This is the school that beat us before 1-7 (actually just their soccer team). But i was pretty confident about it all day. So with ten minutes left in the first half, the score is us: 4 them:0 and a guy on the their team breaks his collarbone (or got it broken or something.) So we waited the half hour for the ambulance to come (and it actually drove on the field....cringe) and get him stabilized.
So at half time our coach says: "the bad news is these guys have come back from losing at half time at three other games, the good news is we're going to beat them." So with about 20 minutes left in the last half, the score is 4-3 (us winning) But we got one more goal in with less than two minutes....it was sweet. It was sweet to hear the crowd cheering. (That's a tip for you professional fans; cheer on your team!!)
And this was the team that our school has not beat in like 6 years. And the first game they lost this season. It was sweet.
So that's all the news from this end of the universe
Peace, love and a root beer float to all of you

wow *sigh*
All week was preparation for student chapel on friday. I knew it was going to either flop or rock. It ROCKED!!! So much.....was ad libbed. We all (my class) had a great time and my little shpeel (speech) didn't have any major lengths of silence.
Then we lost our game to Northside 7-1. Thptbtbphtb. Sorry, that was the air coming out of my ego.
But i did get to see Frank again.
So that's it, for now, i'm starting to consider leaving out so many details so i can keep some readers....

just so your not up all night waiting
Oh, and "See You at the Pole" went pretty well. It was a good day.
And one more thing: we won both soccer games we had back-to-back this week. It has been a good week thus far.

I love life (right now)
But isn't it laughable how i (or maybe even you) love life pretty much only when it's lovable. When it's harder to love life i usually don't love it. But life (at any time) is an amazing gift from God. It's sad how i "measure my day by how many things go my way".
Song of the day: "So Much for My Sad Song" by Chris Rice:
The first thought through my sleepy head
When I fell out of my bed
Is "I hope the sky is gray,
I'm gonna write a sad song today."
So I make up my mind, slip on my shoes
I'm gonna pick up a paper and read the news
'Cause I'm sure to find plenty 'nuff blues
To write my sad song
But when I open the door and the sun spills through
Takes away my breath and I think of you
And the only blues to hit my eyes
Are those beautiful blues in the clear blue sky!
So much for my sad song
So much for my sorry attitude
Let's make this a love song instead
'Cause I'm so in love with you
C'mon let's go out and play
Save the sad song for another day
No time for tears, I'm wearin' a smile
So much for my sad song
So I pick up the news like I said I would
Drop my jaw right where I stood
'Cause the headline reads: "All The News Is Good,
Because Love Is On The Way!"
And love floods the world right before my eyes
Everybody is dancin' and slappin' high fives
And such beautiful music fills the skies
And we all sing along
And now I snap out of my daydream
And I can't believe how real it seems
But I keep on dancin' anyway
'Cause it's turning out to be a marvelous day!
Sometimes I measure my day
By how many things go my way
And when things go wrong I usually get mad
But this time I’m glad that my song didn’t turn out sad

Busy
This story just in....
I LOVE SONIC SLUSHIES, SMOOTHIES, LIMEADES, AND JUST ABOUT ANY OTHER DRINK THEY GOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They're like my starbucks equivalent.
And i got a facebook last week. I'm not sure if that was such a great idea or not. It does take up too much of my time like i thought it would, but i am able to keep in touch with lots of people i wouldn't be able to otherwise. I don't know.

Never Forget
I didn't get a chance to put up a patriotic post yesterday because: (here we go) we had an away game that we got out for at one o' clock....
2:50: POW!!!! everyone (except the bus driver ; ) wakes up to a popped tire.
3:30: Arrangements are made to fix the tire and pick us up (we never got picked up btw) to go play our game @ five o' clock
5:30ish: The tire/rim is replaced/fixed
6:10: arrive at opposing school
6:15: find out game has been canceled due to lack of refs and opposing team
8:15ish: Leave school after watching volleyball team play
9:00: arrive at wendys
9:47ish: Leave wendys
12:00: Arrive @ my school
12:20: Arrive @ home
1:00AM: Go to sleep after reviewing ACT junk
So i won't forget this September Eleventh for a while either.
Not that it's all that late, just disorienting to get home that late after school. So don't forget September 11, 2001 peoples. That's about all i wanted to say....i have to go sell yearbook/senior ads, get ready for ACTs, student chapel, piano, soccer, and do homework. Oh, and pick some college (before December) that will not only take up the next four or so years of my life, but also have a large part in determining the direction of the rest of my life (not this blog).

shoutfest and something completely random
Ya, back to Shoutfest! There was a battle of the bands between 3 local bands at first. That wasn't too bad, the winner will go on to Nashville to compete for a record deal or something. Then there was like 10 or 12 other bands and they just kept on going back and forth between two stages, so i had the option to get as close as i wanted! Here's the link to the album, but i think this video below will pretty well explain how sweet it was. I didn't really listen to Jeremy Camp much before but it was a really really really really sweet show right up front. I was talking and standing right next to the guy Jeremy asked to get up on stage with him and sing "Right Here". The only downside was that Shawn McDawnald and Everday Sunday were able to be there. They were the two i really wanted to see. It was still a blast. Oh, did i mention the whole event was free!!!
And this was just a video i found while being a bored bachelor that made me laugh.

The Last Friday of Summer

This is it. The last week of summer has been pretty sweet. Soccer practice, movie marathons, poker nights, dinner theaters (or whatever you call Medieval Times) , staying up late, and NO WORK!!! Except for those two book summaries due the first day of school. = (
But this summer has been amazing. I think i might take almost every opportunity to travel as often as possible.

ho hum
but i will tell how much i'm glad i got my new tune machine. I wanted to get this thing for almost a year and it was worth the wait. Right now i'm using the free one-month trial thing from best buy/rhapsody. I could download the entire music library from the store if i had enough room, and keep it for as long as i pay the fifteen bucks a month. But my free trial ends about the time school starts back up next week. = (
so ya, life's good!

Don't you love it when you find what you didn't know what you were looking for
Blessed be your name
In the land that is plentiful
Where the streams of abundance flow
Blessed be your name
Blessed be your name
When I'm found in the desert place
Though I walk through the wilderness
Blessed be your name
Every blessing you pour out,
I turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say...
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be your glorious name
Blessed be your name
When the sun's shining down on me
When the world's all as it should be
Blessed be your name
Blessed be your name
On the road marked with suffering
Though there's pain in the offering
Blessed be your name
Every blessing you pour out,
I turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say...
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be your glorious name
You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord, Blessed be your name

And now for something completley different
Long story short: i was very tired on Friday. And no turtles were found. But hind sight's 20/20!
Here's a picture of the campfire.

I do like camping, just not going to work the next morning. I would have thoroughly enjoyed the walk in the morning if i would have had the day off or something.
Yesterday a man from Bulgaria (that is working here this summer) got in touch with my dad, and said he wanted to come to our church. He has been saved at the beginning of this summer and was very excited to learn more about our God. But it was funny, Bulgaria is the only country in the world that has the 'yes' & 'no' head nods backwards. So for a while, we were asking him some questions and he was thinking he was saying yes but got us all confused. We had a good laugh once it was all sorted out.
Ya not much else....oh wait:
"GARDEN VALLEY, Texas (AP) -- Previously unreleased music by the late Christian singer-songwriter Keith Green is about to become available.
Green and two of his children were killed 25 years ago this month when their private plane crashed on his ministry's Texas ranch.
The accident doused one of the brightest lights in the Jesus Movement, a youthful Christian counterculture. Green was posthumously inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame.
An iTunes release with music never before heard by the public, but saved by his widow, Melody, is planned for August, and more material is to be released next year.
In the 25 years since her husband's death, Melody Green, now 60, has remarried and divorced, suffered a stroke, and sold the Texas property to Teen Mania."
