wow *sigh*

So much!!!! Still workin on getting some pix up. I can't believe it has been a week already since that amazing weekend. This week is about the opposite to last week. I've been up later at night at least an hour later and up earlier in the morning about an hour earlier than usual this week. See You at the Pole was pretty sweet like i said; that night (Sep. 26) i went to a SYATP rally at a big baptist church around here. It was really sweet and opened my eyes to how good i got it a my Christian school. These kids that went to public schools were rejoicing that they had 30-50 people at the flagpole (some had more, but i think that was at smaller elementary schools). Our school had around 150 students and all the teachers out. So much....i take for granted.

All week was preparation for student chapel on friday. I knew it was going to either flop or rock. It ROCKED!!! So much.....was ad libbed. We all (my class) had a great time and my little shpeel (speech) didn't have any major lengths of silence.

Then we lost our game to Northside 7-1. Thptbtbphtb. Sorry, that was the air coming out of my ego.
But i did get to see Frank again.

So that's it, for now, i'm starting to consider leaving out so many details so i can keep some readers....

just so your not up all night waiting

Pix to come soon of Carowinds, and the show (maybe). It was just about the best weekend imaginable: five free movies, high speed roller coasters, and two sweet concerts. All with friends/family! it was most excellent!

Oh, and "See You at the Pole" went pretty well. It was a good day.
And one more thing: we won both soccer games we had back-to-back this week. It has been a good week thus far.

This is gonna be sweet!!!!

That says "relient k" and "carowinds" at the bottom!

Oh! and i went to the beach in the rain today. That was weird.

I love life (right now)

Today was amazing. I have off school the rest of this week for some teacher conference. And today had a good time with some great friends at the beach and other places. All day i thought it was going to rain, but it didn't which was good because i didn't burn and it wasn't too hot. Then i went to youth group where there was an exceptional worship service. All this was made even sweeter by the thought that in the back of my mind i'm going to a sweet concert this weekend (Relient K + TobyMac!!!!!!!!!) I think that always makes things sweeter; when you don't have anything burdensome in the back of your mind to think about.

But isn't it laughable how i (or maybe even you) love life pretty much only when it's lovable. When it's harder to love life i usually don't love it. But life (at any time) is an amazing gift from God. It's sad how i "measure my day by how many things go my way".

Song of the day: "So Much for My Sad Song" by Chris Rice:

The first thought through my sleepy head
When I fell out of my bed
Is "I hope the sky is gray,
I'm gonna write a sad song today."
So I make up my mind, slip on my shoes
I'm gonna pick up a paper and read the news
'Cause I'm sure to find plenty 'nuff blues
To write my sad song
But when I open the door and the sun spills through
Takes away my breath and I think of you
And the only blues to hit my eyes
Are those beautiful blues in the clear blue sky!

So much for my sad song
So much for my sorry attitude
Let's make this a love song instead
'Cause I'm so in love with you
C'mon let's go out and play
Save the sad song for another day
No time for tears, I'm wearin' a smile
So much for my sad song

So I pick up the news like I said I would
Drop my jaw right where I stood
'Cause the headline reads: "All The News Is Good,
Because Love Is On The Way!"
And love floods the world right before my eyes
Everybody is dancin' and slappin' high fives
And such beautiful music fills the skies
And we all sing along
And now I snap out of my daydream
And I can't believe how real it seems
But I keep on dancin' anyway
'Cause it's turning out to be a marvelous day!

Sometimes I measure my day
By how many things go my way
And when things go wrong I usually get mad
But this time I’m glad that my song didn’t turn out sad

Blogger Play

This just came up on the blogger dashboard. Pretty sweet and cool. Cool and sweet(?) It's nifty. It shows photos that are being uploaded to the blogger site in real time. click on a pic to see the blog. Cool Right?!

This one's for Lee

This post is dedicated to Lee, who waited the 4 and a half hours for me to take my college testing the first time, while he was bored out of his mind. (maybe you weren't, but i sure was)

So, yes the ACTs are finally done, SATs in a few weeks....

But i do have a guitar concert tomorrow!!!!!!!!! Same as last one (different church though). But i missed the practice for it today because....you know why. Pix from the show later. I have to get up extra early on Monday for senior pix out in the wild.

Busy

I'm going to miss the soccer tourney this weekend because of those darn ACTs i keep talking about. Sorry if it's getting annoying to you as it is to me.

This story just in....
I LOVE SONIC SLUSHIES, SMOOTHIES, LIMEADES, AND JUST ABOUT ANY OTHER DRINK THEY GOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They're like my starbucks equivalent.

And i got a facebook last week. I'm not sure if that was such a great idea or not. It does take up too much of my time like i thought it would, but i am able to keep in touch with lots of people i wouldn't be able to otherwise. I don't know.

Never Forget

Lot's happening!

I didn't get a chance to put up a patriotic post yesterday because: (here we go) we had an away game that we got out for at one o' clock....

2:50: POW!!!! everyone (except the bus driver ; ) wakes up to a popped tire.

3:30: Arrangements are made to fix the tire and pick us up (we never got picked up btw) to go play our game @ five o' clock

5:30ish: The tire/rim is replaced/fixed

6:10: arrive at opposing school

6:15: find out game has been canceled due to lack of refs and opposing team

8:15ish: Leave school after watching volleyball team play

9:00: arrive at wendys

9:47ish: Leave wendys

12:00: Arrive @ my school

12:20: Arrive @ home

1:00AM: Go to sleep after reviewing ACT junk

So i won't forget this September Eleventh for a while either.
Not that it's all that late, just disorienting to get home that late after school. So don't forget September 11, 2001 peoples. That's about all i wanted to say....i have to go sell yearbook/senior ads, get ready for ACTs, student chapel, piano, soccer, and do homework. Oh, and pick some college (before December) that will not only take up the next four or so years of my life, but also have a large part in determining the direction of the rest of my life (not this blog).

I guess i'm just a slow learner

Isn't it weird how you have to learn a lot of things twice. You first learn how to speak, then learn how to communicate. You learn how to think, then how to reason. You learn how to learn, then how to learn from learning. You learn ideas, then create ideas. You are taught beliefs, then believe beliefs. You learn how to use your body, then learn about yourself, then you surprise yourself.

shoutfest and something completely random

Shoutfest was not only was this past saturday, but also amazing. It's taken me this long to get some pix up because i've been bachlerin' (alone) it this weekend and will continue till this....um, saturday i think.

Ya, back to Shoutfest! There was a battle of the bands between 3 local bands at first. That wasn't too bad, the winner will go on to Nashville to compete for a record deal or something. Then there was like 10 or 12 other bands and they just kept on going back and forth between two stages, so i had the option to get as close as i wanted! Here's the link to the album, but i think this video below will pretty well explain how sweet it was. I didn't really listen to Jeremy Camp much before but it was a really really really really sweet show right up front. I was talking and standing right next to the guy Jeremy asked to get up on stage with him and sing "Right Here". The only downside was that Shawn McDawnald and Everday Sunday were able to be there. They were the two i really wanted to see. It was still a blast. Oh, did i mention the whole event was free!!!

And this was just a video i found while being a bored bachelor that made me laugh.
